Lead Pastor Bryan McDowell

Pastor Bryan McDowell is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He has served as children’s and youth pastor at First Assembly of God in Goldsboro, North Carolina; briefly filled a school enrichment position – also in Goldsboro; and directed youth ministry (i.e., outreach, teaching, preaching, staff management, and volunteer development) for the Salvation Army in the inner city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It was in Milwaukee that he met the love of his life, Whitney, who is a gifted graphic designer. They were married in Appleton, Wisconsin.

He later served as Children’s Pastor at Pine Bluff First Assembly of God in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It was in Pine Bluff he and Whitney were blessed with their first child, a son, Elias.

Pastor Bryan was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, raised in Southern New England, and has served in diverse locations.

When discussing his philosophy of ministry, he insists that the Gospel must be modeled in both words and actions and says that we are to “love people until they ask why.”

Pastor Bryan enjoys reading, writing, and traveling.  Spending time with family is very important to him as well.  He is a big fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox!
